Village in the Shade - Japanese release's first update patch detailed
Nippon Ichi Software has updated the post-launch content page for Hono-gurashi no Niwa. The company has published details on the first free update patch that will be applied to the currently available Japanese release on September 29.
This game has since been confirmed to be localized in English as Village in the Shade, and NIS America will release it for PlayStation 5, Switch 1&2, and PC via Steam on October 27. As a side note, this would be the exact same day NIS Japan releases the second free update patch for Hono-gurashi no Niwa, with the protagonist's birthday event as one of its main highlights. However, it is yet to be known whether content from the first patch will already be available by the time the English version releases on October 27 or not.
The details of additions in this update patch are available right below:
- Additions of Camp Series furniture
After acquiring a license to hunt Green Pheasants, 11 Camp-themed furniture items will be available for purchase at the General Store.
- Additions of Silky Fowl and Kamo Duck as new livestock animals
After reaching the Fall season in the 1st year, these animals will be available for purchase from the Street Vendor. Just like the default Chicken and Duck, they can produce Eggs every day and drop Feathers occasionally.
- Additions of Bushy Cow and Speckled Goat as new livestock animals
After purchasing a Goat, these animals will be available for purchase from the Street Vendor. Just like the default Cow and Goat, they can produce Milk every day.
- Addition of Farmland Expansion feature
The first requirement will differ depending on the Mode you are playing:
Shade (Regular) Mode - You have received a request from Tobari to repair a Shrine
Safe Mode - Nago is already residing in the Village
After doing either of the above and purchasing all farmlands available so far, you will receive a letter with a location point that will trigger an event that unlocks more farmlands.
- Addition of Furniture Catalog
After reaching the Fall season in the 1st year and having purchased any furniture once, you may receive a letter that will trigger an event for you to unlock the Furniture Catalog, where you can re-purchase furniture you have bought once from the General Store or Street Vendor without having to go there, and the items will be delivered the next day.
However, be advised that the letter may not arrive on Thunderous Rain days or during specific segments in the main story.
