EverQuest Legends launches on July 28

Publisher Daybreak Game Company and developer Game Jawn have announced that EverQuest Legends will launch on July 28 for PC, priced at $19.99 alongside an online subscription. Pre-orders of the game will allow access to a beta test running from July 1 to July 21.

Announced earlier this year, EverQuest Legends is a reimagining of classic MMORPG EverQuest, featuring several quality-of-life features alongside gameplay adjustments to make playthroughs less daunting and more suitable for solo/casual play. This includes the ability to set three different classes per character, as well as systems to power up equipment.

We recently had a chance to meet with the Everquest Legends team at Summer Game Fest, following our preview from GDC earlier this year.

Get ready, brave adventurers! Daybreak Game Company and Game Jawn announced that EverQuest Legends, a reimagined version of the classic MMORPG, will launch on July 28 with pre-orders available now at EverQuestLegends.com. Players who pre-order will gain access to an exclusive Pre-Order Beta running July 1 through July 21, along with the ability to reserve their character name and the exclusive optional title of “The Legend” in-game.

Designed for casual and solo play, EverQuest Legends allows players to experience the entire game on their own while still supporting groups of up to four players and raids of up to eight. To help adventurers tackle even the toughest challenges, the game introduces powerful new gameplay systems like multiclassing, gear leveling and customization, and other unique abilities to optimize their character builds.

Featuring the original art style, graphics, and music of the classic version of EverQuest released in 1999, EverQuest Legends will launch with the continents of Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus, and include all playable races alongside new surprises for veterans and newcomers alike. For the first time in 20 years, players can experience the best parts of the original EverQuest, updated for the modern era.

The EverQuest Legends base game will cost $19.99, which includes a one-month subscription. If you pre-order, your first month will start on the launch date of the game. After the first month, a recurring monthly subscription is required and will cost $9.99.  EverQuest Legends is a live service game, and we will be releasing new content, including DLC and expansions. Players can cancel their subscriptions at any time through their online account.
