Echoes of Aincrad demo launches on June 15/16

Bandai Namco has announced that they will release a public demo version of Echoes of Aincrad on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. The launch times of the demo will differ based on the platform:

  • PC (Steam) - Simultaneously worldwide on June 15 at 10:00 PDT / 19:00 CEST or June 16 at 02:00 JST
  • PS5 & Xbox Series X - June 16 00:00 in each region (for the US it will be based on 00:00 EDT, so time zones further to the West will see it at earlier hours on June 15)

The Japanese official account tweet provides more details on the demo's content. It will feature the early parts of the game's storyline that cover the in-universe closed beta test phase of the Sword Art Online MMORPG.

Bandai Namco has also confirmed that the demo's save data will be transferable to the full game as-is, so players will be able to immediately start the story phase of the MMORPG's full release and Death Game announcement afterwards.
