Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember releases for Xbox Series X, PS5, Switch 2, and PC Steam in Early 2027

At the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, which will be available worldwide in Early 2027.

Wo Long 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass and it will launch simultaneously for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam). This is the sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that came out in 2023. The reveal at today's Xbox Showcase also follows the pattern of Team Ninja revealing the first game also at an Xbox Showcase four years ago in June 2022.

Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Team NINJA announced that their dark Three Kingdoms action RPG, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, is currently in development and will release early 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, and Steam. The title will also be available day one with Xbox Game Pass.  

Set in the late Eastern Han period, when various warlords contended for supremacy and the heroes of the Three Kingdoms emerged, a phoenix rises from the fires of war as a namelesschampion fights across vast battlefields faced with powerful enemies and fearsome fiends.

In this long-awaited sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which has surpassed over 5 million players worldwide, players must master the evolved Chinese martial arts and conquer battlefields of the Three Kingdoms overrun by monstrous demons alongside renowned heroes who left their mark on history.

To help celebrate the announcement of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the previous title, WoLong: Fallen Dynasty, is once again available on Xbox Game Pass for fans to enjoy starting today.
