System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is coming to Switch 2
Nightdive Studios has announced that System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
The wording on the announcement is a bit confusing because the Tweet says it is coming to Switch 2 with no timeframe or details, but the link goes to the Nintendo Switch 1 page. On Bluesky, the post says System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is "now on" Switch 2 with the same Switch 1 link. The eShop in USA, UK, Japan, and Australia does not have any Switch 2 Edition or native version of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster as of this writing.
Nightdive's other release Blood, is getting a Switch 2 Edition next week. There are no details for how the upgrade or release on Switch 2 will be handled for System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster.
If you haven't already done so, you can read my interview with Stephen Kick from Nightdive Studios about the remaster and a lot more here, Adam's full review of the remaster here, and my Steam Deck feature on the game here.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is now available for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It will be released for Nintendo Switch 2 in the future.
