Artifex Mundi, creators of mobile hits like Unsolved and Bladebound, revealed their upcoming title today during Future Games Show Live from GDC. Void Hunters is a free-to-play turn-based RPG hero-collector, set in a dark fantasy world. The title is currently in development, but eager players will soon have a chance to participate in alpha-tests.
Void Hunters uniquely combines a traditional campaign with roguelite-driven missions known as “Hunting Grounds”, where characters gain unique boons through randomized encounters, balancing risk against escalating threats on the way to powerful boss battles.
The title is a turn-based RPG in which strategic squad-building and character development can determine the outcome of every battle against the Void. All your hunters are rooted in the dark fantasy world and have their own ambitions, skills and motivations to fight. Replayable missions will be your chances to test the new strategies and team compositions in direct combat. Tactical thinking, proper team synergy and willingness to take risks can lead to victory… or leave you to be consumed by the Void.
Void Hunters will debut on Steam, as well as on mobiles via Google Play and Apple App Store with crossplay and cross-progression available on all platforms. However, the bravest hunters can get ready to stand against the Void soon – alpha tests will begin in the upcoming weeks, and players can already sign up to test the title via an official Discord server.
