Solo indie RPG Monetaria is coming to PC via Steam, demo available now
Japanese solo indie developer koppepan is going to release an RPG titled Monetaria for PC via Steam. A demo version of the indie game is also available to download and access from the Steam page.
The game will notably have a strategic command-based battle system that runs in real-time high speed. In the Japanese press release, koppepan also mentioned several games that serve as inspirations: Shin Megami Tensei for first-person-view 3D dungeon explorations, Slay the Spire for selecting random progression nodes, and Yuji Horii's command-based adventure game The Hokkaido Serial Murder Case: The Okhotsk Disappearance.
Find the official trailer, descriptions, and screenshots for Monetaria right below. The game will be available in Japanese and English. Koppepan has yet to provide a release window for the full game as of this writing.
The world has descended into chaos. Reality itself is collapsing, triggered by seven demons scattered across the globe.
Guided by the enigmatic lifeform "E," Kanechika and his crew awaken to "Roles" and "Skills"—powers that allow them to perceive and destroy these deadly anomalies. To save the world from total erasure, they must travel the globe and uncover the dark secrets hidden beneath the surface.
Dive into the world's underbelly to track down these anomalies by navigating "The Web," a roguelite node-based dungeon, and surviving "The Vortex," an immersive first-person 3D dungeon.
Combat is strictly real-time. Seamlessly swap between four unique Roles and dash through high-speed, adrenaline-pumping battles!
