Falcom reveals Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, set to release in Fall 2026 worldwide for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC
During the company's annual shareholder meeting, Falcom revealed Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, set to release in Fall 2026 worldwide for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
GungHo has simultaneously announced the English language version, releasing day-and date with the Japanese release, like with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
Additionally, the game's Steam page also lists Clouded Leopard Entertainment (CLE) as a publisher, indicating that the game's PC release now seems to be unified worldwide. This means that, unlike many Falcom titles that have separate Steam listings for the NIS America western release and CLE Asian release, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter looks to feature all available language options under one Steam listing. This includes English and Japanese voiceover audio, with English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, and Korean text options.

GungHo Online Entertainment America has announced Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, the next modern reimagining in Nihon Falcom’s beloved Trails series. Featuring fully 3D visuals and refined gameplay, the second installment in the Trails in the Sky series picks up in the wake of the unrest that shook the Liberl Kingdom in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. The story continues as Estelle sets out to find Joshua after he disappears amid a growing continental conspiracy. The Standard Edition will be available Fall 2026 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter follows Estelle as she searches for Joshua and confronts the Enforcers of Ouroboros. Though the struggle centers on Liberl Kingdom, its implications touch the wider continent of Zemuria, drawing Estelle into ancient mysteries, political tensions, and the truth behind Joshua’s past. With the fate of a legendary artifact at stake, Estelle must step up as a young leader, ready to face an enemy whose plans reach far beyond anything she imagined.
Like Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, this remake will have updated English and Japanese voice on all platforms. On Steam, Japanese, English, German, French, and Spanish versions of the text will be supported. All console versions will have English, German, French, and Spanish text language support.
