Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Switch 2 and Xbox demos now available

Square Enix has released the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 demos on both storefronts today.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo save data can be carried over to the full Switch 2 and Xbox games at launch as well. If save data for the demo is detected you can claim bonus items in the full game. The Xbox demo is playable on console, PC, and handheld via Play Anywhere. You can download the demo here on Switch 2 (available via console now, but should be on the web soon) and here on Xbox. The demo download size is 7.9GB on Nintendo Switch 2.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launches on January 22, 2026 for Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2. It is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Today, Square Enix released a free demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the expanded edition of 2020’s Best RPG of the Year - Final Fantasy VII Remake, on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Players can carry their save data from the demo over to the full game, which launches on January 22, 2026.

In the demo, players can experience the game’s iconic opening chapter, in which the mercenary Cloud Strife and the underground resistance group Avalanche attempt to destroy a Mako Reactor powering the dystopian city of Midgar. In their fight against the shadowy Shinra Electric Power Company, Cloud and his comrades are thrust into a larger conflict that will decide the fate of the planet. Players with demo save data on their console can claim the bonus items “Revival Earrings” and “Survival Set” in the full game.
 
Players can pre-order the full game now to receive exciting bonuses, including:
