Monomi in Super Danganronpa 2x2 will be newly voiced by Kinuta Ooshiro

Spike Chunsoft has revealed the new Japanese voice actress for Monomi in Super Danganronpa 2x2. Kinuta Ooshiro shall now newly provide voiceovers for this mascot.

Monomi has a very similar case to Monokuma in this entry. Monomi's original Japanese voice actress, Takako Sasuga, had already passed away in February 2023 at 87 years old.

This will also be the first-ever major role for Kinuta Ooshiro. While she had previously provided voiceovers in a couple of web animations, her career at Dream Line Entertainment has been more focused on directing anime shows, with the most recent one being the Crayon Shin-chan spinoff Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch.

The game's producer Shohei Sakakibara also noted that when his team held an audition for Monomi's new voice actress, they had a lot of applicants but ultimately chose Ooshiro for having a very similar voiceover.
