Persona 5 X global version 2.3 update set to add new main story chapter and Targeted gacha banners
Sega and Atlus have published details about the upcoming version 2.3 update for Persona 5: The Phantom X, which will be applied soon to the Japanese and Global releases on October 23. Some of the highlighted features added in this update will be the addition of a new main story chapter and the implementation of Targeted gacha banners.
The new Targeted gacha banners will guarantee a 5* featured character pull, albeit having a higher pity at 110 pulls. The existing banner system, where there is a 50:50 chance to lose with a non-featured 5* character at 80 pity pulls, will still be available as a Chance banner. However, the only banners that will have the new Targeted system at this version update will be the newly added phantom idol Kira "Messa" Kitazato and the rerun of YUI "BUI".
You can find the English patch notes after the English-subtitled stream archive right below. Persona 5: The Phantom X is available worldwide on PC, Android, and iOS. The separate Southeast Asian server is expected to get this update roughly a week later.

A new draw system called "Targeted" contracts will be added, and the previous draw system will be renamed to "Chance" contracts.
In Targeted, the number of draws required to guarantee a 5★ character is higher, and the 5★ Contract Rate is lower than in Chance. However, in Targeted, all 5★ characters will be from the featured Most Wanted Phantom Thieves.
If you draw Targeted 165 times, you will receive an additional reward: A 5★ Phantom Thief Chance 01.
This is an item that lets you obtain one random 5★ Phantom Thief from those available in Phantom Idol Draft X.
In addition, the text displayed in Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts and Arms Deals has been changed to reflect the addition of this new drawing method.
