Hades II 1.0 launches on PC, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on September 25, 2025
Supergiant Games and Nintendo announced that Hades II will launch for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 25.
The game has been in early access on PC since 2024, and the update will mark its full release following July's Hades II Update 11, which was the final scheduled early access update.
Hades II builds on the legacy of the first Hades game, casting players in the role of the immortal Princess of the Underworld doing battle against Cronus, the Titan of Time. The Princess will be able to mingle and interact with gods and other immortals inspired by ancient Greek myth.
Supergiant commemorated the announcement with a 2D-animated v1.0 launch trailer, produced by The Line Art Team.
Hades II will also be a timed Switch 1 and 2 console exclusive. The length of the timed exclusivity period was not specified. The teaser trailer stated that the game will include some performance enhancements on Switch 2, such as a 120fps frame rate target on compatible 1080p TVs (the game will run at 1080p/60fps in handheld mode on Switch 2). There will also be cross save between Switch, Switch 2, and the PC versions according to the launch post.
Notably, the stated release date is for the digital versions of Hades II on PC and Switch/Switch 2 only. Physical editions of the game will be available from November 20 priced at $49.99 while the digital version is priced at $29.99.
Hades II is currently available in early access on PC, and will launch on Switch and Switch 2 on September 25.

Time Cannot Be Stopped
Hades II is our team's first-ever sequel, and we've been giving it everything we've got for more than four and a half years. Since May of 2024, we've been developing in Early Access, taking feedback from our player community to try and fully realize this game's potential. The result is the biggest game we've ever made, and one we hope you'll find to be a worthy successor to its namesake.
To all our Early Access players, thank you so much for all the inspiration and support! And to all our prospective players, thank you for your patience. We can't wait to share the full game with you later this month!
