
Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV collaboration revealed at gamescom 2025
During Opening Night Live gamescom 2025, Capcom and Square Enix announced a new collaboration between Monster Hunter Wilds with Final Fantasy XIV coming late September into Monster Hunter Wilds and in October for Final Fantasy XIV.

Prepare for realms to collide in the Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV Special Collaboration, coming to the Forbidden Lands late September 2025 as part of Free Title Update 3.
Gamescom Opening Night Live also saw worlds collide, as Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, shared the stage to reveal a major mutual collaboration between the popular role-playing games.
Set to arrive in late September alongside Monster Hunter Wilds free Title Update 3, the special collaboration will see familiar elements from the world of Final Fantasy, such as Chocobos, appear in the Forbidden Lands. Hunters can also look forward to encountering the robotic superboss Omega Planetes in an all-new narrative quest. Stay tuned for more details soon.
Capcom also announced the first-ever Monster Hunter Wilds US Championship will take place in San Diego, California on Friday, October 17, 2025. The top six teams will battle for first place live from the Capcom booth at TwitchCon San Diego.
