How to raise Support Level quickly in Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave

Support Levels have been a mainstay in Fire Emblem games for decades, but the way they are implemented in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a little bit different than previous entries. This page is to help explain how Supports work in this entry, and the best way to raise Support between characters. 

You may be wondering, "What are the best Gifts to give to each character to raise their Support?" My answer to that is, "don't bother!" Or at least, don't focus & rely primarily on gifts to raise Support. While you will need Gifts to some degree, you mainly want to focus on the game's "Meal" function at the inn.

The Meal function is unlocked relatively early in Part I. Once you give a character one gift, you'll be able to invite that character to Meals to raise support. Meals are generally a better way to raise Support for a few reasons. You can do it multiple times per week, for one. You can raise multiple Supports at once. You can also raise Support between different characters, not just the main playable lord.

Also, note you can include non-recruitable characters in Meals as well. Some characters have Support conversations, even if they aren't recruitable.

The key thing to note about Support Levels in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is that support levels are a Global value. If you raise Support between two characters on any Path, then that level will be maintained and reflected in all other Paths. Even if you are on Cai's Path, if you raise Support between Leda and other characters, you will be making them easier to recruit in Leda's Path, since the Support level between them is being raised. This is true for any pairing of characters, no matter which route you do it on.

Raising Support by Replaying Meals in Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave

If you are aware of how the Replay function works in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and knowing how Supports are a Global value, that means you can perform the following sequence of events to raise Supports essentially for free. It only requires the time to execute and several reloads.

You don't necessarily have to do this on a Chapter Replay, but it is probably easiest to understand that way, rather than trying to manipulate Supports on your very first playthrough.

1. Replay a chapter that you've already completed. You are going to restart this chapter multiple times.
2. Host meals at the Inn between any characters you want to Support each other.
3. Auto-activity to the next week, also available at the Inn
4. Host meals at the Inn between any characters you want to Support each other.
5. Repeat until you run out of time in the chapter before the Main Mission.
6. Go into the Base Menu and select System -> Restart Chapter.
7. Repeat from step 1.

This way, you won't actually spend any money or items, since you are just reloading the sample chapter over and over. You technically don't even have to save while doing this; just be sure to save at the end.

Here are some additional tips to make the most of this method:

• It works best to have given gifts to all characters in a previous chapter *before* choosing a chapter to repeat, since you want to have Meals with the characters. Otherwise, you'll have to give gifts to unlock the Meal function every time you reset.
• It's best to pick a chapter that is relatively long, since you'll be able to have more meals before restarting. I chose Leda's Chapter 9 for many supports.
• Sometimes, certain groups of characters are absent from Dagsion in certain chapters, specifically Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, Talimun, or Anatolia's groups. You may need to select other chapters where these characters are present in order to have Meals with them.

If you want to, you can repeat this process multiple times over to raise each Lord's Support with all recruitable characters. It's not instantaneous, but it's still much faster than trying to raise support naturally in a Path playthrough.
