Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake: All Scroll Locations
New to the remakes of the first two Dragon Quest games in Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake are Scrolls, items that teach your characters. This page lists each of the Scrolls and where to find them throughout the game.

None of the scrolls are missable. All can be found up until the final boss of the game.
Unlike Dragon Quest I HD-2D, some scrolls can be learned by multiple party members, so you will sometimes have to decide who will learn which skill. While a few scrolls have multiple copies found throughout the game, there are a few scrolls that only have one copy, but two possible characters that can learn it. One example is the Wind Sickeles Scroll, which can be taught to either the Prince or Princess of Cannock, but you only get one scroll. You have no choice but to make a decision on who should learn it.
Dragon Quest II HD-2D: Master of Arts
One achievement is tied to spells and abilities. For Dragon Quest II, it is called "Master of Arts", which states "Awarded for learning every spell and ability." In order to get this achievement, you must learn each spell and ability in the game by at least one person.
It's worth noting that there are two exceptions to this rule: Puff-Puff and Power Puff-Puff. Each of these skills can be learned by both the Hero and the Princess of Moonbrooke. You can earn two of each scroll, so by the end of the game, you can teach these skills to both characters. The reason why this is an exception is that the Hero's version of Puff-Puff and Moonbrooke's version of Puff-Puff 'count' as two separate skills. So both characters need to learn both abilities to earn the achievement. Other skills in the game are the same for all characters, so it does not matter who learns them.
